Description
The overall objective of this design-build project is to deliver a fully functional, code-compliant, and secure office facility for approximately 100 staff. Project is a renovation of an existing building. Key requirements include: Abatement of hazardous materials (lead, asbestos, and mold) throughout the building. Demolition of existing interior partitions and construction of new interior walls to create a new office layout, including both classified and unclassified spaces. Installation of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) meeting ICD705 and other applicable security requirements. Replacement of existing windows and repairs/upgrades to the building envelope. Complete overhaul of the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to meet current codes and support the new office configuration. Structural repairs as needed to ensure the building meets code and safety standards. Build-out of specialized spaces, including command offices, virtual teleconference rooms, and general office areas Alternations required for ADA compliance (possibly including a two-story elevator). Federal Facilities must achieve energy performance that is 30% better than ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2022 (or newer, as adopted by the applicable version of the International Building Code).
