Combined Acquisition of Nutanix Witness Nodes for Disaster Recovery and ILS Nodes FY26

Combined Nutanix HCI and Witness Nodes Projects System 1: Witness Nodes of Enclaves The Mount Weather Emergency Operation Center (MWEOC) replaced the aging virtual infrastructure of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) enclaves using the Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) during the first quarter of FY25. The MWEOC is currently tasked with adding two (2) Nutanix Servers Model DX320 to the HCI to serve as witness nodes for disaster recovery. System 2: Integrated Local Services (ILS) Replacement Node The MWEOC replaced the aging virtual infrastructure of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) enclaves using the Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) during the Last Quarter of FY25. The MWEOC is currently tasked with upgrading the Integrated Local Service (ILS) enclave to a similar Nutanix HCI infrastructure. This system upgrade is in support of the Assured Transport Program/Fiber Tap Project. Replacing/upgrading the current ILS enclave with a Nutanix infrastructure aligns with the MWEOC’s goal of maintaining consistency across all IT environments. This uniformity will reduce training requirements within the engineering group and streamline maintenance efforts. Failing to acquire this Nutanix infrastructure will introduce significant risks to the project including potential delays to overall program completion, increased need for operational personnel and additional costs of training.
