Description
During the February and April of 2020, a series of heavy rain events caused significant roadway damages within the Cherokee National Forest. The damaged roadways prevent roadway public access into various points of the Cherokee National Forest. Damages include large landslides, roadway and shoulder washouts, clogged or damaged culverts, and other miscellaneous work. Project TN ERFO FS CHRKE804 2020-2(2) will repair storm and flood damage to McFarland Road (Forest Service Road 23). The project work consists of roadbed grading, roadway resurfacing, drain dip construction, replacement of drainage culverts, drainage culvert cleaning, ditch reconditioning, slope stabilization, and other miscellaneous work. The project is located in Polk County, Tennessee.
