Description
IRSC Solicitation for Flying Furnace Salvage Timber Sale Cherokee National Forest NZ Watauga Ranger District Helicopter log salvagle timber on south side of Holston Mtn on the Watauga Ranger district of the Cherokee National Forest. Salvage is needed to reduce the fuel loading and help to protect the multiple communications towers on Holston Mtn. Logs will be flown out to the Griffith Branch Road where they will be loaded onto trucks for transport. The material removed will be paid for at salvage rates by the contractor and help increase timber target per EO 14225.
