Third Party Medical Review Services

The FRA identified a need to procure 3rd party medical review services specifically to assist the Human Resources Department with reviewing a backlog of Reasonable Accommodation requests. The Department of Transportation (DOT) has an agency-wide need for third-party medical review services. Some areas that will require these review services are Human Resource Specialists, Employee/Labor Relations Officers, Equal Employment Opportunity Specialists, Reasonable Accommodation Program Managers (APMs), and managers/supervisors across the Department. The Contractor shall serve as an independent, board-certified medical expert network to assist the DOT and its OAs when employee-submitted medical documentation or agency-directed medical inquiries require specialized medical review and synthesis.
