Description
This project involves the treatment and management of woody encroachment, specifically juniper and cedar species, to reduce wildfire risk to adjacent residential areas and private property. The proposed activities are designed to decrease hazardous fuel loads, improve landscape resilience, and enhance overall community protection from wildland fire. In addition to mitigating fire risk, the project will contribute to ecological restoration by improving wildlife habitat and increasing the availability and quality of livestock forage. Targeted vegetation management will promote healthier plant communities, greater biodiversity, and improved rangeland productivity. This initiative aligns with Executive Order 14308 and supports the Administration’s priorities related to wildland fire prevention, mitigation, and response. Through strategic implementation, the project advances both public safety and natural resource management objectives.
