Description
Over 1,000,000 tons of mine tailings were disposed in a series of terraced ponds downslope from the former Katherine Mine mill. These tailings include hazardous metals such as arsenic, lead, and mercury. This project will develop a plan to mitigiate downstream migration of tailings across a park roadway during monsoon rains.
