Description
Use of funds from grazing receipts to purchase materials for pasture fence improvements is fully justified under the Bureau of Land Management's statutory range management authorities and applicable land use plan directives. Under this project, the Bureau of Land Management will purchase the materials, and the permittee will install the fencing and pipeline improvements over the next year in accordance with the approved project plan. These improvements will enhance livestock distribution, improve grazing management, protect ecological resources, and promote long-term rangeland health. The project supports the Bureau of Land Management's responsibility to maintain and improve public rangelands while maximizing the beneficial use of public lands through cooperative stewardship with grazing permittees. By leveraging permittee labor for installation, the project provides a cost-effective approach to implementing priority range improvements that benefit both public land resources and authorized grazing operations.
