Description
The requirement is for a design-build contractor to deliver a new eight (8)-lane U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint located in the vicinity of Mile Marker 122 on I-10 West, Las Cruces, New Mexico. The checkpoint will include four (4) non-commercial and four (4) commercial primary inspection lanes, with corresponding secondary inspection capacity. The contractor shall site adapt U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) design standards; design and construct the main checkpoint building sized for fifteen (15) agents and a holding capacity of twenty-four (24) occupants; provide all primary and secondary inspection lanes, canopies, and non-intrusive inspection (NII) areas; and deliver associated support buildings, short stay kennels, seizure lot, site improvements, water and wastewater systems, backup power, technology infrastructure, and security systems. All work must comply with applicable Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP design standards and referenced compliance documents, resulting in a fully integrated, code-compliant checkpoint addressing current and projected operational demands. This requirement will be competitively awarded under the Design-Build OB3 IDIQ contract.
