Description
It will allow new types of analyses to be made, such as isotopic study of soluble organics and fluid inclusions, and extend our measurements to finer grains that are currently inaccessible. The advanced capabilities of the NanoSIMS HR will likely enable the discovery of new types of presolar and nebular grains. Such studies of Ryugu samples, as well as future return samples, using the NanoSIMS HR would revolutionize our understanding of the material that seeded our solar system, the first formed solar system solids, and the organic and volatile content of primitive asteroids.
