Description
FEMA needs mobile satellite services in order to meet its responsibility to provide seamless communication between its supporting personnel in the event of a disaster. FEMA is charged with the centralized direction of emergency management. It is expected that all solutions will continue to reflect the changing technology where appropriate and beneficial to meet the FEMA mission. FEMA is seeking a Contractor to provide pre-existing, pre-engineered mobile satellite services, professional services, service enabling devices, and supplies and ancillary equipment such as cables, connectors, batteries, and battery chargers to FEMA anywhere in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) under all FEMA mission conditions. The Contractor can expect relatively light usage during periods when there are no major disaster response activities. The Contractor can expect increased usage during periods of heightened disaster response activities, particularly when terrestrial communications are unreliable or non-existent.
