To advance the President's E.Os 14299 and 14154, FIRST harnesses the power of the U.S. nuclear industry to reclaim American global nuclear energy dominance and expedite deployment of safe, secure, proliferation-resistant U.S. SMRs meeting the highest standards. FIRST provides U.S. SMR expertise to potential buyer countries through training, civil nuclear energy technical tours, site visits, feasibility studies to add U.S. SMRs to buyers' procurement shortlists, SMR control room simulators and training hubs that introduce U.S. SMR technology to emerging nuclear energy markets. Topics include U.S. SMR technology selection, deployment roadmaps, regional collaboration to expedite U.S. SMR fleet deployment, nuclear security, safety, licensing, and nonproliferation, site selection, nuclear workforce development, integrating U.S. SMRs in the energy mix, spent fuel management, etc.
