Countering U.S. Adversary WMD and Drone Threats in Iraq

ACN/CTR Iraq program strengthens Iraq's ability to counter Iranian-backed proxies and terrorist groups by disrupting their access to unmanned aerial systems and WMD, including chemical and biological weapons.  Through targeted support to Iraqi military, law enforcement, and laboratories this program enhances detection and response to UAS and CBW threats in support of NSPM-2.  These efforts protect U.S. personnel and interests in Iraq and the region, weaken Iran's proxy networks, and bolsters U.S. leverage in negotiations on Iran's nuclear program.
