Description
Provision SMEs, develop and implement international trainings to 1) strengthen biosecurity, cybersecurity, physical security, personnel reliability, and research oversight measures to protect biological weapon (BW)-applicable materials, sensitive data, U.S. and allies' biotechnologies, equipment, and scientific expertise from theft and/or misuse, 2) engage academic institutions and biotechnology firms on Know-Your-Customer/Investor to prevent adversarial capital investment and acquisition of data/intellectual property, 3) demonstrate U.S. biotechnology leadership by establishing public-private partnerships and promoting U.S. backed standards and best practices for biosecurity, cybersecurity, data security, and intellectual property protection, and 4) perform targeted upgrades to strengthen laboratory physical security, biosecurity, and cybersecurity to secure weaponizable pathogens and BW-applicable materials and sensitive data.
