Description
The purpose of this contract is to purchase a Medispan License Agreement to support the Medicare prescription drug benefit program (Part D), as well as support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid's (CMS) goal to "Eliminate Fraud, Waste, and Abuse". The licenses are required for the electronic delivery of National Drug Code (NDC) and Prescription Drug normalization data to CMS daily with weekly master file distribution. The data received as part of this agreement will be used by appropriate CMS staff and associated contractors tasked with performing work within the Scope of the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003, the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, Title XIII of the Social Security Act, and Section 1875 of the Social Security Act.
