This project will rehabilitate the aging and undersized septic system at Sand Beach, one of Acadia National Park’s most heavily visited oceanfront locations. Work will include the replacement of septic tanks, distribution boxes, pumps, leach fields, and piping; system reconfiguration and right-sizing; site restoration; and upgrades required to meet current state wastewater regulations and NPS facility design standards.
