Description
Social and behavioral research on NWS Tsunami Messaging and Alerting:The NWS Analyze, Forecast and Support Office is submitting a requisition for social,behavioral and economic science (SBES) support to identify best practices forcommunicating and messaging Tsunami alerts and inform the application of the HazardSimplification paradigm within the Tsunami Warning Program. The contractor shallaccomplish this by employing relevant social science methodologies such as but notlimited to targeted surveys, focus groups, and/or structured interviews that recommendspotential changes to the current NWS Tsunami alerting.
