ESD Systems Engineering Support Contract (FY25-29) - The OPPSD is responsible for defining and articulating long-term strategic goals and objectives through agency strategic plans, priorities, and out-year budget cycle planning activities for the evolution of NWS products and services, ensuring NWS mission of providing weather, water and climate data, forecasts, warnings, and impact-based decision support services for the protection of life and property and enhancement of the national economy. The Office provides end-to-end system engineering oversight across all organizational Offices, assesses risks from systems engineering perspective, and ensures all NWS offices follow and apply consistent engineering standards and processes for project management and system requirements.
