Description
Rehabilitating the historic C&O Canal towpath within Washington, DC, with a focus on the Georgetown section. Portions of the towpath will be restored to its historical width. Unmapped and encroaching subsurface utilities will be addressed. Project aims to also resolve stormwater ponding issues and improve signage for both wayfinding and interpretive wayside exhibits. Project is expected to come from funding provided by the District of Columbia.
