CHIPS R&D: 2D Transfer System

This purchase request is to acquire two automatic systems to facilitate the precise and efficient transfer of 2D materials to various substrates for fabricating the complex layered test devices needed to examine next generation electronics based on these substances. The procurement of a 2D transfer system is needed to develop electronic test structures to test reliability in support of NIST CRADA work with Intel. These systems will fabrication the state-of-art 2D material devices needed for research testing. Two systems are being procured (one in Gaithersburg, one in Boulder) to facilitate higher throughput and to ensure that fragile 2D material-based test structures are not damaged in shipping between NIST sites.
