Additional funds of $85,000, need to be obligated in January 2026, to fund a Database Administrator for the WxCoder/STAMS system for five months period Feb 1, 2026, through July 8, 2026. This action is within the scope of the Task Order 1332KP25F0042, as awarded on June 26, 2026. This requirement for a Database Adminsitrator (DBA) is essential because the STAMS metadata base will be going operational during the coming weeks and the user community in the NWS field offices will need assistance as will NWS headquarters offices will need to request special reports from the Cooperative Observer (COOP) database.
