Description
The BDM develops new veterinary countermeasures including vaccines and diagnostics against foreign animal diseases. Without sufficient staff these countermeasures will be delayed and US farmers and ranchers and their livestock will be at increased risk of uncontrolled losses due to foreign animal disease outbreaks. The BDM requires the services of up to four scientific staff to facilitate the stand-up of the Biologics Development Module (BDM) and the successful transfer of bio-repositories inventory to the BDM due to lack of qualified staff and current hiring restraints.
