Salmon Challis Airbase Pavement Rehabilitation

(Currently unfunded) The USFS intends to perform pavement rehabilitation throughout the Airbase. The rehabilitation is anticipated to consist of crack seal chip seal AC pavement repair and placement of pavement markings. In addition to the maintenance three site improvements are planned. The first would add more pavement at six intersections to provide more room for turning movements. The second would widen several aggregate shoulders to protect existing pavement. The third would add six vehicle roads for servicing helicopters.
