Description
The Fiscal Intermediary Shared System (FISS) is one of the shared systems used to process claims provided by institutional providers, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, hospice, comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facilities, critical access hospitals, rural health clinics, and Federally qualified health centers. The system includes much of the Part A functionality for claims collection, editing, pricing, adjudication, correspondence, on-line inquiry, file maintenance, financial processing and reporting.
