Description
The goal is for DHS Components to achieve an enhanced level of interoperability when communicating across broadband solutions and disparate networks. Through this effort, DHS S&T will foster development of improved, tested, and interoperable PTT solutions by industry, tailored to the needs of DHS Components. Additionally, DHS S&T aims to drive the creation of an approved and independently tested equipment list to ensure reliable and standardized communication tools. Furthermore, S&T will ensure that Mission Critical Services (3GPP for Voice, Video and Data) as provided by vendors are compliant and interoperable. This includes assessing cross-carrier and cross-vendor Mission-Critical Communications readiness, identifying potential technology barriers, and providing recommendations to promote industry adoption. Name and address of the contractor. The Critical Infrastructure Resilience Institute (CIRI) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) Champaign, Illinois 61820-7406
