The USPP has a requirement for lifecycle replacement and the purchase of additional Rugged Laptops - Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) to be in USPP law enforcement vehicles. MDTs are rugged laptops that have a mobile broadband feature, 5G capability, Bluetooth, and touchscreens that allows USPP officers to easily access law enforcement databases and issue electronic tickets while on mobile patrol creating efficiency and effectiveness.
