Description
The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) requires the replacement of its aging and outdated fleet of shotguns. The current systems do not meet the requirements for modern tactical operations and create a significant training burden due to their dissimilarity to the M4 carbine, the primary shoulder-fired weapon used by USCG personnel. The goal of this acquisition is to procure a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) 12-gauge shotgun system that replicates the manual of arms and ergonomics of the M4 platform. This will reduce training time, increase operator proficiency, and improve performance during operational use. This contract will establish a single source for a complete weapon system, including all necessary spare parts, maintenance kits, and manuals, ensuring lifecycle sustainment and compatibility with systems already in service with USCG tactical units. This Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will be for a base period of one year with 4 option year periods. Procurement strategy is 100% total small business set-aside.
