National Center for Education Statistics Sample Survey Future-Forward Redesign: Consensus Study

The United States Department of Education’s (the Department) National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) within the Institute of Education Science (IES) has a need to reenvision and redesign its Sample Surveys program that ESRA authorizes it to administer. As part of requirement, highly technical statistical and scientific expertise is needed to weigh in on the redesign and restructuring of the program to meet the NCES mission for highly rigorous nonpartisan data. NCES seeks to negotiate and award a sole-source contract to the National Academies of Sciences Engineering, and Medicine.
