Description
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), has a requirement for information technology services for a mobile language translation application for ICE personnel to use on their ICE-issued cellular devices during interactions with aliens, enhancing daily enforcement of immigration law. The application will provide on-demand translation services, improving efficiency and pace of case processing compared to the current limited dial-in telephonic service, and will be available to other ICE directorates and Federal stakeholders involved in immigration enforcement. This initiative addresses the need for translation assistance across various international languages, particularly those frequently encountered by Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers, enhancing ICE’s responsiveness and efficiency in case management, investigations, and legal actions.
