Description
Noise dosimeters are used in mandated inspections, impact inspections, health surveys, and noise exposure and compliance evaluations. MSHA must be prepared to monitor the working environment of the mines in order to determine if the noise levels are being effectively controlled by the mine operator. The only regulatory (30 CFR) means to accomplish the task of monitoring in this harsh environment is through the use of dosimeters.
