Description
The anticipated requirement is for software licenses to enhance the digital forensics capabilities used by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), including the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), Air and Marine Operations (AMO), Office of Field Operations (OFO), and Laboratories and Scientific Services (LSS). The effort will provide software licenses, warranty coverage, software updates, and associated hardware (such as new or replacement connection cables) for the currently deployed mobile device exploitation tools installed on CBP workstations (desktops and laptops). This Purchase Order will ensure the ability to lawfully extract, analyze, and preserve digital evidence from mobile devices encountered during law enforcement and national security operations, including devices associated with transnational criminal organizations and individuals of national security concern (such as Terrorist Screening Dataset matches). The requirement includes sustaining existing configurations, integrations with CBP systems, and support for trained CBP personnel who rely on these tools to produce, interpret, and correlate digital forensics outputs with other CBP data holdings, thereby maintaining operational continuity and evidentiary integrity during the covered period.
