Description
This supports enterprise-wide applications that require the ability to use Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to send email messages from DOT applications to external entities. The Cisco Email Security Appliance supports multiple Modal applications that require the ability to use Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to send email messages from the Department of Transportation(DOT) Mission applications to external entities, which rely on industry data collected by the Department of Transportation. To ensure the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information shared, the IronPort forwards SMTP messages from the DOT, which assures the industry recipients that the information is coming from the US Government and not being spoofed by a third party. Enterprise-wide systems supporting public safety use the Cisco Email Security Appliance, to include the TRANServe Application: Providing federal agencies a comprehensive transit benefit solution, Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Application: An online database that gives employers and government agencies real-time access to information about Commercial Drivers License(CDL) driver drug and alcohol program violations, and the Federal Transit Administration(FTA) Access Control and Entry System Application: The Transit Award Management System(TrAMS) Guidance & Training. These systems are imperative in their function to support DOT safety-related missions.
