Description
The Enterprise Document Management Software (EDMS) system serves as a secure, reliable, and centralized repository for GSA’s electronic document storage needs. It offers enterprise document and records management functionalities for 'finished' GSA documents declared as official records. Alfresco, as the Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS), is GSA’s official records management system, ensuring compliance with OMB M-19-21, which mandates electronic records management as NARA will no longer accept paper records as of December 2022. EDMS is currently the only NARA-compliant system of record at GSA and is instrumental in consolidating other GSA document management systems.
