Description
Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometers are used by Denver Radiogenic Isotope Lab for chemical studies of minerals; fluids; and ores that support geologic mapping and mineral resources research of the USGS. We plan to replace an aging TIMS installed in 2004 with a new system employing modern electronics intended to be used by the lab for the next 20 years.
