NOAA/ESRL/Global Monitoring Laboratory is in the process of procuring Picarro trace gas analyzers for near-simultaneous measurement of CO2, CH4, and H2O. Instruments to be procured must maintain or improve upon the precision of current aircraft and field instrumentation used within the NOAA Global Greenhouse Gas Reference Network ship-of-opportunity:Picarro G2301: a cavity ring-down spectrometer for measurements of carbon dioxide, methane and water vapor. This instrument is to be used to measure ambient air at surface and tall-tower sites.TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: (Be specific)The G2301 analyzer must be capable of measuring:¿ CO2 in bulk air samples to or better than ± 0.05 parts per million (ppm) in 400 ppm¿ CH4 in bulk air samples to or better than ±0.5 nmol/mol (ppb) in 1800 ppbas 1-s over a 30-second averaging period. The analyzer must have a measurement range of at least:¿ 0 – 1000 ppm CO2¿ 0 – 6 ppm CH4
