DEMD operates under the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the Indian Mineral Development Act of 1982, and other authorities that designate the Bureau of Indian Affairswith the responsibility of facilitating tribal efforts to enhance sovereignty and promote economic development through their energy and mineral resources and related capacity. The contractors will support federally recognized Tribes by providing no cost technical, economic, and project development assistance for tribally driven energy and mineral initiatives.
