Yosemite NPS Prescribed Fire Burns

US Wildland Fire Service, Yosemite National Park is requesting a Prescribed Fire Support Module forty six (46) days annually to implement hand or machine pile ignitions, broadcast burn ignitions, unit or pile preparation, prescribed fire holding functions, and prescribed fire unit mop-up. Yosemite Fire and Hazard Fuels program has conducted extensive fuels reduction work which has created a need for prescribed burning and includes a backlog of machine and hand piles within NPS administered land. Multiple broadcast and piled units would be burnt under the direction and supervision of USWFS Prescribed Fire Burn Boss and/ or Contracting Office Representative.
