Description
Manufacture Electro-optical tether for towed and tethered submarine systems. Multiple tether prototypes are sought that have a safe working load of >1000 lbf, a diameter of between 6 mm – 10 mm, a length of at least 2 km, containing two fiber optic cables. The tether will need to have neutral to slightly positive buoyancy in sea water. The option for variable buoyancy within the same diameter is desired. The tether must contain either copper conductors or no conductors at all.
