Description
The project area is frequented by recreational users horseback riders and hikers. Due to the open nature of the terrain and the sparse vegetation an increasing number of trailscreated spontaneously by usershave developed over time. These unmaintained routes are impacting forest resources. To mitigate these impacts the project proposes the development of trailheads staging areas campgrounds motorcycle trails and off-highway vehicle (OHV) permit zones. The project area is located within the Globe Ranger District and encompasses approximately 102251 acres of National Forest lands.
