Description
NHTSA’s National Traffic Safety Survey (NTSS), launched in 2026 and conducted periodically thereafter, will track road user behaviors and attitudes over time using core questions and rotating modules on topics like seat belt use, distracted driving, and speeding. This approach helps NHTSA monitor changes and address emerging safety priorities. This project will involve fielding the NTSS up to two times and may involve preparation of materials for Paperwork Reduction Act clearance or the development of new topic modules to address areas of interest to NHTSA.
