Description
Design-Build a Child Development Center (CDC) on US Coast Guard property at Base Kodiak (Kodiak, AK). This construction services project will build a "Small" sized CDC with capacity for School Age Classrooms (SAC) (126 children ages 6 weeks to 5 years), totaling 22,967 square feet. The CDC will include new outdoor play areas (11,040 SF) and 39 parking spaces (12,480 SF), for a total development area of 46,487 square feet. This project is sited to accommodate a future addition to a "Medium" sized CDC. The work includes demolition of existing housing foundation obstructions, installing new utilities, site improvements, environmental tasks, permitting, submittals, paving, fire prevention systems, and building security. Kodiak is a remote island location accessible by marine vessel or air.
