Demolish Ferris Center

Dane County is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the Project Title , located at Project Address . This project involves the complete demolition of the Ferris Center followed by site restoration via seeding. An alternate site address from 2120 Rimrock Road is 101 E Rusk Ave. The 101 E Rusk Ave is the address upon which the sewer plug permit is filed and the address the City of Madison has for platting. 2120 Rimrock Road is the address found in Google maps. After contract award, Contractor will "make safe" utilities in the structure and then provide the structure to Madison Fire Department (MFD) for training scenarios for thirty (30) days. Following MFD training event, awarded Contractor will demolish Ferris Center in accordance with drawings and specifications to include site restoration and erosion control permit close-out. Currently, the erosion control permit expires on 30 October 2026. The water meter has been removed from the facility as of 20 May 2026. Electric and g as have had disconnection requests filed with MG&E and are scheduled to be disconnected on 14 July 2026. This project is being delivered under a lump sum contract. Work is expected to be performed in coordination with Dane County Public Works and the Madison Fire Department to enable training scenarios for MFD. Coordination w/ MFD will be through the Dane County Public Works Project Manager. Work must comply with all applicable county specifications, ordinances, local permitting requirements, or prevailing wage laws. Interested vendors should have demonstrated experience in scope area - e.g., “demolition”, “site civil work in urban settings” an d the ability to manage projects of similar size and complexity. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Pre-Proposal Date at Pre-Proposal Time at Pre-Proposal Location , and all questions must be submitted by Question Submission Date . Bid packages are due by Response Submission Date at Response Submission Time .
