Intent to Sole Source: AAR Mobile Refrigeration Unit

Combined Solicitation & Notice of Intent (SOLE SOURCE) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with RFO FAR 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued [RFO12.202(b)(1)] Solicitation number W50S9A-26-Q-A019 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), for 1 EA, AAR Mobility Systems Green ISU-96RC Refrigerated Container (Part Number: 50148001). The Utah Air National Guard (UTANG) intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with AAR Manufacturing Inc. for a mobile refrigeration unit ISU-96RC. FSS operates an ESPEK field kitchen for austere food preparation but lacks any organic cold-storage capability. Acquiring a mobile cold-storage asset would support Agile Combat Employment by enabling a fully self-sustained feeding and storage capability while eliminating reliance on vulnerable, costly commercial or DLA subsistence storage contracts. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
