Crime Lab Software Maintenance and Support

The Texas Department of Public Safety is seeking to purchase Software Service Support and Maintenance and License Agreements for two (2) Oxford computers from Oxford Instruments America, Inc. The Crime Laboratory's trace Evidence Section possesses Oxford EDS (Electron Dispersive Spectrometer) instruments to be used in gunshot residue (GSR) analysis to standardize and streamline casework. These instruments run on software from dedicated computers built from Oxford specifically for these instruments. This purchase is to maintain the operation of the computers, ensure the software is current, and provide proper licensing for audit purposes.
