Description
This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information only. This is NOT a Solicitation Announcement, nor is it a Request for Proposal. This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, is conducting research to determine the market capabilities of potential contractors to perform Coastal Storm Risk Management. The area of consideration for this dredging service is: Surf City, Pender County, North Carolina. CSRM Estimated Quantity: 6,500,000 CY. Environmental Window: N/A. The work consists of furnishing plant, labor, materials, and equipment to perform dredging, transporting, placing and shaping beach fill and performing all pre and post construction beach surveys. Approximately 1 borrow areas is available for the project and located offshore of Topsail Island Beaches at the south end of the island. The Surf City Coastal Storm Risk Management Project consists of placing 6,500,000 CY of Dune and Berm beach fill along approximately 33,300 LF of Surf City Beach. This project shall use either an ocean certified hopper and/or an ocean certified pipeline dredge. The project also consists of extending approximately 40 existing walkover structures in Surf City and the stabilization of approximately 46 to 56 acres of new dune. The solicitation is expected to be available in FY2027.See the attached document with additional details.
