Description
This is a combined Sources Sought Notice and Synopsis of proposed contract action. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award Standard Missile-6 (SM-6) and Standard Missile-2 (SM-2) FY27 Material and Inventory requirements, including support equipment, on a sole source basis to Raytheon Company, 1151 East Hermans Road, Tucson, Arizona 85706. This synopsis is published for informational and planning purposes, and also serves as a market research tool (Sources Sought) to determine if other qualified sources exist. The requirement consists of special tooling, special test equipment, materials, inventory, and spares, as well as engineering and technical labor to support Depot Level Maintenance Facility (DLMF) and Intermediate Level Maintenance Facility (ILMF) operations and large-scale automation of the SM-6 program. Raytheon is the only company with the requisite expertise, knowledge, experience, and facilities necessary to meet requirements for the Standard Missile program. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Raytheon Company directly. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.103-1 (Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
