Reference and Esoteric Laboratory Testing

THE FORMAL RFP WILL BE POSTED AT SAM.GOV UNDER THIS NOTICE NUMBER 36C24227R0003 ON OR ABOUT 10/07/2026. OFFERORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO MONITOR SAM.GOV FOR THE FORTHCOMING RFP AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION. Brief Description of Services: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, on behalf of Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 2 South, intends to issue an RFP - Requirements Contract for comprehensive Reference Laboratory and Esoteric Testing Services. The contract will serve the VA Medical Centers listed in Appendix A. The contractor must provide everything needed to perform all required reference and esoteric laboratory testing. This includes, but is not limited to: All personnel, labor, equipment, transportation, information technology, supplies, and supervision Routine and STAT pickup and transportation of specimens from multiple VA medical facilities to the contractor s laboratory Pre-analytic processing and preservation of samples Performance of laboratory analysis as specified in the contractor s test manual and relevant standards Timely electronic and hardcopy reporting of results to ordering VA facilities, with direct system interface to the VA VistA Laboratory Information System (LIS) Consultation regarding test selection, specimen collection, result interpretation, and specimen requirements Provision of all consumables for specimen collection, preservation, and transport Maintenance of all required certifications and accreditations Compliance with HIPAA and VA information security requirements A complete Statement of Work, with all details and requirements, will be included in the final solicitation.
