Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), intends to acquire Acoustic Emission (AE) Testing Equipment for Coal Mine Roof Safety using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial products. The requirement includes a four-channel acoustic emission data acquisition system, signal conditioners capable of providing root-mean-square (RMS) output, AE sensors, software/licenses, cables, and associated components necessary to provide a complete and compatible system. Delivery is required within 60 calendar days after award to NIOSH Pittsburgh Mining Research Division, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is an intended sole-source acquisition to MISTRAS Group, Inc. Market research identified MISTRAS as the only known source capable of providing the complete integrated system meeting the Government's requirements. The solicitation is being posted to SAM.gov to permit electronic responses. All responsible sources may submit a quotation for consideration by the Government. Quotations shall be submitted in accordance with the instructions and by the response deadline identified in the attached RFQ.
