KC135 Cargo Lighting Upgrade

The current KC-135 cargo lighting system is limited to only two configurations, off or full brightness, which creates significant operational and safety challenges. When the lights are at full brightness, they impair the boom operator's night vision during the critical transition to the unlit boom pod for air refueling operations. Conversely, when the cargo lights are turned off to preserve night vision, crew members must navigate a dark cargo area, which creates a safety hazard. This modification seeks to resolve these issues by providing a flexible lighting system that enhances both mission effectiveness and crew safety
