Description

1.1 Scope: The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service is receiving proposals until August 12, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. local time, for professional services for the Signals - Downtown Special Event Transportation Management Plan RFP. Proposals are being received electronically by the Department of Public Service, Office of Support Services via Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login. This project consists of a qualified consultant team that will work with the City of Columbus and area stakeholders to develop a Downtown Special Event Transportation Management Plan for major events within the Arena District Area. The study will consider existing conditions for all modes of travel, parking inventory and safety needs to create operational and communication strategies for ingress/egress during major events near the Arena District. The Downtown Special Event Transportation Management Plan will serve as a single resource to the City and Stakeholders for event management in the Arena District Area that will include guidelines based on total attendance size, including guidance for when multiple venues are activated at the same time. All questions concerning the RFP are to be sent to capitalprojects@columbus.gov. The last day to submit questions will be specified in the RFP; phone calls will not be accepted. Responses will be posted on Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login as an addendum. A pre-proposal meeting will not be held. Notice of published addenda will be posted on the City’s Vendor Services web site and all addenda will be posted on Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login. The selected Consultant shall attend a scope meeting anticipated to be held on/about two weeks after proposals are due. The projected scope date will be specified in the RFP. If the Project Manager is not available, the Consultant may designate an alternate to attend in their place. 1.2 Classification: All proposal documents (Request for Proposal, reference documents, addenda, etc.) will be available for review and download on Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login after the RFP is advertised.
